Nowadays Indian advertisement agency is proving to be world’s best. There are lot many good ads reeling around on the TV channels. My personal favorite Airtel’s ‘Har Ik Friend’ which truly captures spirit of today’s youth. I think everyone can easily relate to it.
I mean who is not having a friend which ‘kabhi kabhi kaam aaye gadhi gadhi call kare…….’ Or ‘ Ghadi Ghadi kaam aaye Kabhi Kabhi call kare……’
Usually when I see advertisement I switch to other channels for some interesting stuff but for this ad it’s vice versa. I switch channels to see this ad. It reminds me of all the times spent with my chaddy buddies.

Koi raat ko teen baje jaan bachaye
I remember those school friends who used to ring my door bell as early as 4:00 AM for a cricket match and then run away to save their ass from my parents. And me sneaking through back door to accompany them.
There are those college friends who stood guard to protect me from hostel security guards and warden after a mid night drinking binge.

Ho ho ho…….The most common trait…….. From sharing Tiffin box at school to putting their fingers by 10’s of them in one Maggi plate. Checking everyone’s pocket and collecting money for kultche-chole outside DAV school. Arranging all night drinking party at friend’s home whose parents were out of town……. drinking whiskey from his dad’s bottle and then adding water in to it.

The most interesting ones are those who told us their fake love affairs with our class mates or batch mates. That jealous feeling until we found out their true ‘GAPORI’ nature. Still sharing those untrue stories of make outs with seniors even with the teachers make us laugh.
Thanks to god that I have friends who can fight with the world to prove me right even if they know I am wrong. Thanks to all of them who stood by me even to fight with my girl’s brothers.

Today’s generation is of FACE BOOK, so every one of us has 100’s of friends without even meeting or talking with them regularly. Thanks to networking sites that made me reunite with all my old buddies.
I still remember racing our bi-cycles on the rain water filled roads. Racing our cars on the 22 No. fatak on mid night after one of us got campus placement. Betting on top speed on a foggy day and getting hurt badly scares the hell out of me now.
Shopping mall wala shopping friend
Koi Exam hall wala copying friend
The silly shopping’s for same T-Shirts by two of us. Forcing one to buy lingerie for his girl-friend’s b’day gift, which he never gifted her.
Preparing cheating slips till midnight still failing in exams. Sharing of answer sheets during exams getting caught and then those red palms by teacher’s danda. Then the dawn of technology and exam slips were replaced by mobile phones but the nalayakiyat still continued.
